Hi All, I didn’t get the ethernet module with my BX1 when I purchased it-- big mistake. Does anyone know if I can use either Brewtroller Live and/or the WebApTroller through the USB connection?

Thanks.

Unfortunately, there is nothing in the current code base to handle doing it that way, and its not a simple thing to change.

I hate to not have an answer, but we will try to get eth modules done as quickly as we can!

It would be possible to connect your BrewTroller to a computer running Linux or Mac and build btnic and btcgi, and setup btcgi to operate behind a web server such as apache, however I suspect that btnic/btcgi may need to be updated to remove the timestamp fields from the responses to make them compatible with the web platforms.

If you are interested in going this route, let me know and I will check into making the updates to make it compatible.

This is an old thread but jut to let some one know I got this setup working.

BT <-- USB --> PS running btnic <-- Unix socket -->btcgi under apache <----> WebApp

Have to do some changes in brewtroller.js
1) relax time outs in connectedloop from 750 to 1000ms & watchdog from 1000 to 5000 ( shuld work with less )
2) change some index in brewTrollerParseResponse to get rid of timestamp.

Very nice inteterface. Looking forward for new features.
